Back from up north
Well the trip went well. With stops and rain, we made it up there in good time. The cottage was nice, but no hot water! So it was hard not having that and feeling fresh. We went up to Tobermory and went on a boat cruise, it was lovely! Glad Bree was free, as she slept the whole time. Then we had lunch afterwards and checked out different shops. The mosquitos were really bad up there and it rained a bit. So we didnt get to fish or have a campfire. On our way home, we made a few stops. We went to a petting zoo, trading post, flea market and a beach. It was nice to get home though. I didnt miss much, well my computer and hubby I guess!

Sitting up!
Bree can sit up for a short period of time, on her own now. And she is scooting around pretty good on her belly. It is like an army crawl, as she just cant get up on her knees yet. She has also taken great interest in animals lately. She thinks Max and Lil Boy are the funniest things in the world. Its so cute!
Eating
Bree eats different all the time. I guess it all depends on her mood. Today she ate 6-6oz bottles as well as her sweet potatoes and cereal at suppertime. I couldnt believe it. Other days Im lucky if she finishes 5-6oz bottles. I guess they have good and bad days just like us.

Cry baby
Bree has always been a content happy baby. Lately though she is very whiney. As long as Im in sight, shes fine. As soon as I walk out of the room she starts making a fuss. I dont know if its cuz weve had alot of visitors, and she craves the constant attention? Or she is just going through a phase? She is driving me crazy and I find it hard to get time to myself. Chris even said she was miserable yesterday morning while I was at work. Maybe I have a developing mommy suck on my hands?

7 months!
Breeanna has turned 7 months old today! Where has the time gone? She isnt my itty bitty baby anymore! She plays all the time, she loves her stacking toys, and her books. As well as the lamb puppet I got her. She is a bit rough with him though... She is starting to sit up on her own. Can last from 3 seconds to about a minute. She is just too wiggly to stay upright in one spot too long. She loves the water and swinging, and long walks. She has tried ice cream and loves it, and she really likes strawberries. I zipped up some peas last night, and she wants no part of that. The look on her face was priceless, and I think she actually said "YUCK"! She doesnt have another doc appointment until about 9 months old, and that will just be to weigh and measure her.

Boo-boo :(
I feel so bad... Bree got her finger caught in the side slots of her car seat. You know where the seat belt can fit in and across if you dont have the base? Her finger must have been in there when I lifted her out. I couldnt figure out why she was screaming
so loud. And she has never cried that long and loud, ever! Her finger got cut a bit on the inside. I just held her and rocked her and said how sorry I was. She was fine after a few minutes, giggled and sucked her soother. I just felt so bad, and still do. I hate how accidents happen and there is nothing you can do about it, and its no ones fault. Ugh! And of course we were around people, so they likely thought I was killing her! My poor baby, that was her first real boo boo...

Bad dream!
I had a short nap this afternoon. And I had a nightmare! Bree was crawling out onto the road infront of our house, and I couldnt unlock any doors or windows and get out to her. And there was a black truck heading up the road. Horrible! It keeps popping back in my mind and I almost want to cry!

Crawling!
Bree started trying to crawl about a week ago. Today was the first day she got up on all fours and scooted along! I cheered, laughed and cried. She was pretty proud too! She used her head as a kickstand to rest. Or as a friend on fine mentioned, a 5th leg! She more or less pulls herself over to stuff, as her arms and head get tired. But within a minute, she had her self pulled over to where Max (the dog) was. It was just precious! She wanted her puppy. But now she has me worried, never know where shes gonna turn up! I really need to barracade her in an area in the front room. Her play yard isnt very big for her to explore in. I need to get her some sort of cage. I just cant believe how many things she is doing all at once. One thing at a time baby girl so Mommy can get used to it! Crawl, sit up, eating tons!

Obsessions?
Bree is mesmerized by tags on things. Whether it be on a blankie or toy. She also loves anything crinkly. Give her a newspaper and shes happy. And if she happens to pick up a hair off the carpet, she will hold it and pull it between her fingers and examine it. Its so cute watching her look at things and investigate. I just wonder what is going through her little mind?

Bored?
Bree does the same things every day and I wonder if she is bored? Playing on the floor, in her exersaucer, jolly jumper, naps, bottle feeding, suppertime, etc. I feel bad for her sometimes that there isnt more I can do with her. She loves going for car rides and walks in her stroller. And I get so bummed out when the weather is crappy and we get

Foods
I tried pureed sweet corn with Bree last night, and she loved it! Who knew? She prefers veggies over fruit, which is great. I also tried some little Gerber puffs and she liked them as well. I like these foods that are safe and melt in their mouth. And its so cute watching her "chew" and swirl the food around on her tongue. Smart little person she is!

Mom Mom
Bree is babbling alot. We have been teaching her: hi, mom, mama, dad, dada, moo, woof, meow... etc. Well, when she gets going she says mom mom. I will repeat it to her and she will say it again. So he first "real" word, is Mom :) Im so proud!

New chair/swing
We went and got Breeanna a new chair/swing combo. We were just gonna get her the infant to toddler rocker. But we found a swing, and the chair detaches. It has 3 stages to it. Im very happy with it and so is she! I have never been in Toys R Us since having Bree. Its such an awesome place, I was so excited over all the toys. Its nice that there are still some toys like we had when we were young. I know where I am going Christmas shopping! She also got a colours board book and a baby piano. She is sooo spoiled!

New playgroup
Bree and I found a new playgroup. It was so much fun! Its outside at a park. There had to be over 50 kids there! We socialized, played in the wading pool, had a swing, made a craft. It was so nice to get out. We will definetly be going again next week, weather permitting. Also got a calendar of other events going on. So we will try to get out and do more. Its so much better than being stuck at home all the time. My mom then met up with us and went out for lunch. I am so glad the weather is nice again.

Soft spot
Breeanna's has moved forward towards her foehead. Its about the size of a quarter still. I never thought to ask the doctor. But he did feel it and say it was good, at her 6 month well check. I wish they went more often, I liked when it was every month. She goes sometime next month, I have to call this month to set up her 9 month appointment. She will just get weighed and stuff and see if there any concerns. No shots until 1 year.

Big eater!
I made up some charts and Im gonna keep track of what Bree is eating. She is a big eater just like Chris, but so tiny! I wish I had that metabolism! Yesterday, she had:
4-7oz bottles throughout the day, some yogurt and a rice rusk for lunch, sweet potatoes, banana pudding, gnawed on a strawberry and another rice rusk for dinner. Crazy!!

8 months
Breeanna turned 8 months old today. Its so hard to believe! She is crawling everywhere and sitting up so well. She is such a little person! She weighs about 15-16 lbs. Dont have an exact weight... She goes next month for her 9 month well check. She is a sleepy girl today. Its cold, rainy and just plain yucky outside. So I think thats why she is in a downer mood. I will get her dressed up and pretty later and get pics taken of her with Teddy.

Very bad boo boo!
Chris was home with Bree last night. We play airplane with her, where you lift her over your head and makes sounds. She loves it! Well, he did it after he lifted her from her change table. We have book shelves in behind that and all her stuff in the shelves-wipes, diapers, toys, extra clothes etc... Well there is a lamp hanging high above. As he lifted her, her leg touched the bulb and burnt her! OMG!!! He called me at work to tell me this. I was so upset that I was shaking and crying and couldnt concentrate. I guess he cleaned it and wrapped it andgave her Tylenol, but she didnt get to bed till after 11pm. I worked till almost 1am, it was really busy at work. I woke her when I got home, to assess the damage. Its on her leg, just below the knee. About the size of a dime. It keeps blistering up, so I poked it and put an antiseptic burn spray on it. Then
wrapped it well. Poor baby... I didnt think it was bad ebough to take her to the hospital. But their little skin is so thin and sensitive. She seems to be herself today, crawing around on it and everything. There pretty strong little people. Chris feels so bad, and says hes a bad dad. We really do beat ourselves up over things that happen to our babies. But accidents happen... That was a doozy though!

Bad mood
Bree has been so cranky lately. I dont know if its the heat, teething, leg hurting??? But she is driving me crazy! I just try and keep her busy and entertained the best I can. She is just so whiney lately. Then happy the moment I pick her up or sit with her. She doesnt seem as interested in the bottle anymore. She will drink an ounce here and there. But she does eat food 2 or 3 times a day now. I dont mind her growing and changing her habits, I just wish I could understand what she needs. And last night, she had a
nap after dinner. Then I couldnt get her to bed. So she drank a bit, played, drank, played... I set up blankets and pillows on the floor in the living room. We ended up falling asleep on the floor and I woke up past midnight. And it was too hot upstairs, so she slept in her play yard and us on the floor. Just an offnight I guess...

Long day
Today I was up early, before Bree. I dont know why, as I would love a day to sleep in. Anyways, I was on the go all day. Cleaning, ran errands this afternoon. Then we went to dinner at a friends. It was fun, but draining. Just toting her around, socializing, etc. The food was great! Its just when we visit and Bree gets passed around, she gets very cranky afterwards. Like she thinks she needs to be held all the time. Must be hard on her as well, being with just me most of the time, to being passed around to a bunch of strangers. We have a wedding Saturday, and now Im dreading it. I think we will just do the ceremony and dinner then pass on the reception. We used to go out alot, but now were home bodies. I guess thats how life changes. I just wanna be home with my family.

Beach
Last night we went to the beach again. We had gone in the afternoon, but it was so busy we came home and decided we would go later. Bree went in the lake for the first time! It was pretty cold, so she wasnt too keen on it. But she got used to it, and sat by the shore and played in the sand and splashed in the water. I like to try and expose her to as much as possible. I am just having so much fun doing things with her and re-living my childhood. We watched the sun go down, and I had a nice long swim. Chris isnt into hanging out on the beach much. He has a fear of water... I kept cool the rest of the night after the swim. Im not sure what we will do today. My mom misses Bree, so we might go by there for a visit if shes home.

Beach, again!
Now that the weather has been so nice, we are at the beach pretty much everyday. Today Bree and I went to visit my friend Shannon and her kids. We had a picnic down by the marina. It was so nice and fun. Bree ate some melon and crackers. She just loves being around other kids. Then we packed up and went to the beach. They live in a private secured community. Its really nice cuz they have private beach access. The kids had alot of gear to go down with. So instead of walking she drove. And I just held Bree in the van as we drove down. No car seat! I felt like such a rebel! I put my seat belt on both her and I, and I had Shannon drive like 20km an hour. We had a great time on the beach. Bree went in the lake with me. And I even let her go in the dingy with the kids. I am letting go a bit and not being so protective and safe with her. I even let her crawl in the sand and get all dirty. Ah! It was nice to get out and hang with one of my girls. I have to work tomorrow, and we have quite a bit planned in the next week. So Ill

Accepted!
I cant believe it, Ive been accepted to college. Im so excited, kind of speechless really. Its hard to take it all in. I had an interview, tour, small exam, etc. today. Then we filled out all this paperwork. And I was like, "am I in"? And they were like, yes of course! They didnt outright tell me. Wow! Its a great school, and program and people. Just have to take the next steps to get in there. Financially that is... Need to get applications rolling for loans and such. Thats the one thing I fear I wont get. I have some debt, and we arent really financially stable right now. But why wait around, live in the now! So I
will be taking the Medical Office Assistant program for 9 months. Its 5 days a week, with externships and 100% job placement in the end. Nice! I just thought Id share my great news with you all :)

Boring weekend
I didnt have to work this weekend, as the track is closed. It seems so weird not going to work! Chris is working like 7-8 days straight, and when I dont have errands to run, I just let him take the car and Bree and I stay home. It just gets so boring! I can only clean so much ya know? It is really dreary and cold outside too, so its not like we can go out there and play.

Stir crazy!
I dont mind staying home while Chris is away for a good reason-work. Its just after 2 days at home, Im going stir crazy! I think tomorrow we will take him to work and do something. And I feel so bad for Bree, the furthest she went outside was for a swing in the tree! So I think I will go find something to do... It sucks only having one vehicle. I dont know what we will do once Im working too or going to school. We cant afford a
2nd car... It was so easy when he had jobs that were close, or supplied a vehicle. The job market is so tough here nowadays. Im sure something will work out. Its just a bugger at the time! Well, Im gonna head to bed.

1st Happy Meal
I grabbed Bree a Happy meal today, mainly for the toy! They have Hello Kitty toys... I let her have a few bits of fries, and mashed up chicken nugget. She loved it! Starting a bad habit already I think... And last night I shared dinner with her. She had some mushed up hamburger with gravy and mashed potatoes. She couldnt get enough! She prefers real food over jarred stuff. Quite a range of food she gets now...

Birthday plans
I have started planning Breeanna's first birthday. Ive decided to scale it down and not have as many people. Just close family and some of her little playmates. I am going with a My Little Pony theme. I have already created my own invitations. She has the baby and regular size Star Song ponies. So I will use them on her cakes. Yes cakes, Im gonna make her own small one she can destroy, then a sheet cake for people to eat. Im so excited! Im looking forward to all the celebrations coming up. Thanksgiving, Halloween, birthday, Christmas. Its gonna be fun!!

New things
Now that Breeanna is more mobile and active she is learning so much. Whenever she would do something good and new, I would say "Yay" and clap my hands. Well now when she gets excited, she will clap! Its too cute :) As well, she has a little barn where shapes fit in and she tries her hardest to get them to fit. And she has a drum and she has been beating on it with toys. She is so smart and so cute! I cant get over how quickly she picks up on new things. I am so proud!

Holding bottle
Bree has been sort of a lazy bottle eater. She likes to be held and cuddled and for us to hold her bottle. She has never tried to hold the bottle herself. She usually has her hands tight on our hand, or a blankie or something. Well, last night and this morning, she grabbed the bottle and held it up herself! Not for long, but she is trying. She drinks water from the one sippy cup someone gave me, but she wont do it herself. We have to tip it back so she gets a drink. She will get there someday Im sure...

9 months old today!
Breeanna turned 9 months today. Where has the time gone? Honestly! She can slow down any day now :( She is doing so much, clapping, "talking", crawling, pulling herself up into a stand, playing so much more with toys... She is amazing! Today we are making a trip to the bank to open her savings account. We rolled up a bunch of change we saved over the years. That was a job, I think I have blisters! But it will be a good start for her. She doesnt go for her well check until next week on the 15th. She eats 3 "meals" a day plus snacks and bottles, she has seemed very heavy all of a sudden! I am betting she is up around 17-18lbs now? And she has gotten very long. Oh, and I am entering her in a baby show this Saturday at the Fall Fair. Im sure she will win something, and it will be such fun!

What a crazy date eh? And today Chris and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary! I cant believe its been 3 years already. And that we have accomplished so much and have a daughter :) He had to work most of the day. But when he got home, he got showered and ready. We left Bree at my moms and we went out for dinner. It was nice, but now were both in agony for eating so much. We were gonna try and see a movie, but they started either too early or late. Oh well... It was nice to go out and be together and have a break from Bree. But it sure is nice to get back to her. I can tell she misses us, and I love the cuddles she gives.

Baby show
Bree was part of the baby show at a local fair today. There were about 8 babies in her age class. They didnt vote on the babies. They say its a way to introduce them to the community. An announcer just asked our names, the baby's age and where were from. And we all got a goodie bag for entering. I thought that was nice and fair. Rather than leaving anyone out. So that was nice! She got a book, shampoo, and 2 free movie rentals. Pretty cool! As well there were some other freebies- tote bag, colouring book, stickers, etc. There was a parade at the beginning as well, and they were tossing candy to her in her stroller. So mommy and daddy got some candy :) What a perk!! I look forward to Halloween now!

Moving, yet again!
Well it looks like we are moving again! We have both been looking for work closer to the city. And Chris has been given many offers. Another factor is our annoying landlord. He has given us nothing but trouble since we moved in here. Today was the last straw with him. He gave me a letter stating we better clean up the outside, or else! We keep it nice and I do my gardening. But we have a trailer and boat that he has hinted at being moved and stored elsewhere. We live in the country on a huge farm property for goodness sakes! So we are not giving him the chance for the what else. We are giving our notice tomorrow. We have found a house that is ours to rent asap near London. We even have the keys! We just have to clean and paint it, and they are giving us a great deal. Plus we know the people, so they are helping us out the best they can. So... we will be moving yet again! Hopefully out of here the middle of October, that doesnt give us long. I will start packing tomorrow! Theres always something, right!

RIP Max
Our dog Max died this morning. Were not sure what happened yet. Hes getting an autopsy done, and they said theyd call by 6pm. He had been fine, and his usual self. I let him out this morning, and he went to pee and do his thing. I had called him to come in and he came over pretty slow. I figured he was just taking his time. But then a few minutes later I was yelling for him and he didnt come. So I went out and looked for him, and found him beside the truck. He was heavy, and his tongue was out and his eyes were open. He still had a faint pulse, Chris took him to the vet as soon as he could. They did CPR and everything on him, but he still slipped away. So we think it may have been heart failure, stroke, anurism??? I doubt if he got into something poisonous, he would have been sick before that. Anyways... Its been a tough few days, and now this to top it off.

Breeanna had her 9 month well check today. She is a petite 16 lbs 7oz, and 28 inches long. I thought she would be bigger than that! She eats lots and is active, so the doctor isnt overly concerned. He wants to see her in a month again, just to be sure she hasnt stayed the same or lost any. Chris is a small guy, so Im sure she gets it from him. Everything else was fine! They all think she is so cute and pretty. Of course she is! She has a rash that pops up in cracks and folds and the doc said to just put cream on it, even butt cream. Which is what Ive been doing. So thats about all on that :)

Im shocked!
I hadnt stepped on the scale in months, it was just too depressing. Chris and my mom had both mentioned I looked like I had lost weight. I just brushed them off as being polite. Well I weighed myself, and Im down 10 pounds!! So Im back below my pre pregnancy weight :) Yay!! I have been more active and eating healthier. And I try to do a few km's on my bike. Now I feel pretty good about myself and hope I can keep it up. I say, it took 9+ months to put that weight on, it will take that long to get it off!

Dadadadadada...
All Bree babbles is Dadadadadada... all day long. She will let out a babababa or yum yum once in a while. But no Mamamama! I think she knows she can, and just says Dada to annoy and mock me. Its quite rude of her. Who carried her for 9 months, gave birth to her, and spends nearly every moment with her?!?!? Traitor! I am of course kidding, but you know what I mean!
Baby food
Baby food is pretty gross. I bought her jarred baby food- potato, brocoli and cheese. She likes those things on their own, so I figured shed like that too. I always try her food first, and it was disgusting! Absolutely bland and tasteless. I added some crushed up crackers to it, and she ate a few spoonfuls. Then that was it! Baby food is such a waste of money. I then shared my mushroom alfredo with her, she loved that!!
Standing
Bree can now pull herself up on things to a standing position. Up to the couch, chair, tv unit, baby gate, me... She is so strong and has good balance. But she has to keep her concentration, or she goes toppling over. She usually ends up on her butt, but a couple times, flat back and bonks her head. Live and learn I suppose. I havent any activity centres or toys for her to stand up at. She will also hold our fingers and she walks with us. Its pretty funny, she always takes a huge step with her right foot, like she is climbing over something. I am sure this girl will be walking before her first birthday!

Moody
Bree has been moody, just like any other woman! I think she is teething, as she still has no teeth. She craves my attention all the time. She is drinking more and napping more often. And she will cry for no reason all of a suddeen. And she loves to chew on everything in sight. Her gums have been lighter the past few weeks, but it comes and goes. I just dont know what to do for her! She has always been such a happy laid back baby. I guess it was bound to catch up with me someday! The past few nights, she wont go to bed on her own. I have to swaddle and rock her in the chair for like 1/2 an hour with the lights off. I dont dare just put her to bed, she screams bloody murder and stands up in the crib trying to get out. Chris has no patience for her anymore, and that makes me mad. He told her to shut up last night! I always tell her to be quiet, not shut
up. I think too she may crave his attention, cuz she barley sees him anymore. And he annoys me, that I am with her all the time doing everything for her, and he cant sit and spend 10 minutes with her. Ugh!
Swaddling again
Bree has been liking that lately. When she gets fussy, I swaddle her and rock her and it settles her right down. She hasnt liked that since about 3 months old. I like that she likes to be cuddled like a little baby again. It just seems to be the only way to calm her down to have a bottle or go to sleep. Whatever works, right? Chris thinks Im being to easy on her and sucking her up. Shes my daughter, I can do whatever I want to console her.

Crappy night
Bree fell asleep in her swing around 8pm last night. I then woke her about 9pm, to have a bottle. She drank it up in no time, burped, and I put her to bed. Nice! But then she woke up at 12am, and wouldnt go back to sleep! I kept passing out cuz I was tired. Finally at 130am, she was dozing off. Ugh! She was then awake at 4am... and for good at 7am. I dont know what was wrong with her? And she is in a bitch this morning! I just dont know what to do some mornings, I try and get my shower in, but I feel so rushed cuz she cries the whole time. I have to work the late shift tonight, and I dread how that will go as I havent gotten much sleep!

Waving
Breeanna started waving last night. Were not sure where she picked it up. But last night when I was leaving for work, I said "bye" and she raised her arm and waved. We couldnt believe it! So now if we say "hi" or "bye" or motion to wave, she does too. Too cute! She is picking up on so many things lately, she is so smart! And I am so proud :)

Lazy day
Well, not lazy so much, just sticking around home. It stormed all night and none of us got much sleep. It was so windy and loud. Bree was up at 1am and 4am... she then didnt get up until after 9am. I just didnt have the ambition to pack her up and take her to my moms. I had wanted to do more cleaning at the new place. But decided I needed to catch up on some stuff here. Packing, cleaning, laundry... I am amazed at how fast I am packing things up. But I guess when youve done it 2 times in the last 2 years, you become a pro. I still cant believe how much stuff we accumulate in such a small amount of time. Its mainly Chris, he just stores things away. Ugh! Less is more I say, and I hate knick knacky stuff. Anyways... just taking a break, to gather my thoughts and see where I should start next.

Baby group
Our baby group met yet again today. We try to get together at one of the girls houses each month. Its amazing how big our babies are getting. Most have teeth, are trying to walk, eat lots. When we first got together they were tiny little mounds of flesh that didnt do anything other than sleep and eat. Its nice getting out and being with the girls. And its nice were all sort of in the same age group, and most of us are first time moms. Bree was the only girl there today, she will have the pick of the group of boys when she gets older. They all played nicely and tried to share soothers and bottles. We just talked about mom stuff, had a potluck lunch, and played with the babies. Even though Im moving further away, I will still keep in touch and plan to make it up each month. Im not sure if they will all want to come far to my place, but we will see...
Weekend off!
This weekend at work has been post poned due to the forecasted rain. I havent had a full weekend off since May! What am I to do with myself? I will be packing, I know that much. We hope to be moved in the new place, and out of here completely by next Friday. I dont see how that will happen at this point... But Chris has 2 friends helping, and they have trucks and haul trailers. So I guess they will do it!

I am so glad moving day(s) is getting closer. This house is so bare and were living out of boxes. Im at a stand still as to what to pack next. The guys will start moving stuff tomorrow. I will feel so out of place and order this week, I may go crazy! Ive survived moving before, Im just so sick of it. This better be the last time for a few years, until we can afford to buy. Bree's room looks so sad, everything is packed, but her crib and bedding. And all our room is is bags of clothes and the bed in the middle. Looks so odd! Rain is in the forcast, which is bumming me out. Have to cover and tarp everything. And I want the guys to pile stuff up in the back room, then take their shoes off then move stuff to other parts of the house. Chris just laid carpet down, so Im sure he will stick to the rules too. I will still get online up until maybe Tuesday or Wednesday night. Then Ill be offline a while. Im gonna have them come Thursday to do the phone, net and satellite. Dont wanna be without it over the weekend, then Monday is a holiday so we would have to wait until Tuesday.

Dancing
Bree has become very interactive with tv and music, and when we sing to her. She will wave her arms in the air, clap, and now she will wiggle! If she is on her hands and knees, she will rock back and forth. If she is sitting, she will bounce. And if she is standing, she will wiggle all over! Its hilarious :)

Im off!
Well, were getting ready to be out of here. We got alot moved today, but alot ahead of us tomorrow. I will just be so happy to be out of here and in the new place. After I finish my emails, I will be turning the computer off and unplugging everything. Eeek! The phone and internet technician is to come around Friday, I hope they get everything up and running. Or else Ill be without until Tuesday, as Monday is Thanksgiving here.

Moved!
We got the last of everything moved here last night. What a relief! We have slept here 2 nights now. The 1st night was on a matress on the floor in the living room, and Breeanna in her pack and play. Its so nice here, and no worries about anything or anyone. I am just unpacking, one room at a time, and cleaning as I go. Net, phone and tv are all working great. I just havent had much time to catch up. We will get there... Chris is getting my washer and dryer hooked up, so I can do some laundry! We are supposed to go to dinner with my family for Thanksgiving, but he doesnt want to go. Bree and I arent gonna miss out on some yummy food! Plus I think we just need a break away from everything. So I am happy and relieved and feel so safe here. Its nice! I will have a 10 month update on Breeanna soon.

10 months old!
I didnt get a chance last week to write a 10 month update on Breeanna. She is so busy now, into everything. Its hard to keep track of her unless she is strapped into something. She crawls very fast, and likes to stand up at everything. There have been a few times, she has let go and stood straight up. But that only lasts a few seconds before she falls down. She seems so proud when she does it! Her sleeping and feeding habits havent changed much. Still a couple naps throughout the day and she sleeps all night. She has about 24-30 oz of formula a day, and eats little bits of whatever we eat... She loves cheese, noodles, mashed potatoes and bread. She loves carbs, just like me! I am not sure what her weight is now, she has a check up tomorrow, so I will let you know then. She is outgrowing alot of her clothes, and is getting into her 9-12 month stuff. Its fun putting her in new stuff, its like going on a shopping spree in her closet!
She has been in size 3 diapers for the longest time now, and I think she will be a while yet. She has a skinny butt, just like her Daddy... She loves to play all sorts of things. She especially likes smaller toys, like her growing collection of Little People. She loves books and when we read to her. And she likes music, and will even wiggle and dance to it. Its so cute watching her! I am thinking of putting a radio in her room, so she can have tunes on when she is in there. Chris thinks she is too young for a stereo! Well, thats about all for now. I tried getting her monthly pictures done the other day with Teddy. But she wouldnt stay still! Maybe I will try again today, they wont be on her exact 10 month birthday, but atleast Ill have them :)

Pants
Woo hoo!! I fit in some old pants that fit me pre pregnancy. I couldnt believe it! I am down 10 pounds, below my pre pregnancy weight now. Feels pretty good :)
10 month well check
Bree gained a bit since last month, which is what we hoped for! She is now a whopping 16lbs 15oz :) She is just petite and was maybe at a stand still at 8-9 months. She eats lots, but is very active. She is alot like Chris that way. Everything else is good with her as well. She doesnt go back for another 2 months, at her 1 year check up.

1st buffet dinner
We went out the other night with family for dinner. Breeanna sat up in the high chair, pulled up to the table. She ate sooo much! She had cheese, bun, noodles, rice, chicken, apple pie, and ice cream. Little bits of each of course. But she loved it! Chris thought she would be sick or in agony later that night, but she was fine. She loves to eat, and isnt too fussy.

Napping, already?
Bree was up a little after 7am. She had a part bottle, some banana and a rice rusk. I put her in her crib after 9am, while I ran her bath. She fell asleep! And has been the last half hour. Huh?
Last couple days at work
Work comes to an end this weekend :( Then I have to find another job I suppose. They lay us off in winter, as it is a seasonal job. They only have 2 people in the office, 3 times a week through the winter. Its always kind of bittersweet this time of year. So I work both early shifts. Chris is home with Breeanna tomorrow. Then Sunday I will take her to my moms in the morning while Im at work. Then we are going to a baby shower for a cousin of mine. I just dread getting up early, the drive, etc. Oh well... Hopefully I get there in good time and can go get a coffee :) Its nice to have time to myself, even if it is the drive to work and back. We then have a work party next weekend, which should be fun. They are letting us race our cars down the track. I wont do it though, out of fear something may happen to the car!

Busy day
Today I was up and off by 630am this morning. I dont know how working mothers do
it on a regular basis. I took Bree to my moms to be babysat while I went to work. I was actually early and there before anyone else! I was gonna sneak out and get myself a coffee. After work I picked up Bree and my mom and we went to a baby shower. It was for my cousin Shawna. It was nice to see the ladies and get away for the afternoon. Bree was so good, as usual. Games, snacks, and she opened presents. She got some good stuff. She is due the middle of November, but will be induced at 38 weeks like me, due to GD. She is a great girl, and ready to be a momma. We then went shopping, then dropped my mom off then came home. I just had soup and a bun for dinner. I have a bit of a headache, so I am hiding out. Chris can spend time with his daughter. She is so whiney, I think its cuz she was out all day. I cant wait to snuggle up in bed, maybe Ill head there now!

Toured the town
Today I parked in town and Breeanna and I went for a walk. I was in a tee shirt, it was 20 degrees celcius out. Nice! We went to the library and each got a couple books. Found out they have an early years program there, like a playgoup. Tuesday morning is the infant group, under 1 year old. We missed it! Then the rest of the week they have all ages 0-preschool. There are Halloween parties the Thursday and Friday before Halloween. Cool! So we will be sure to go to those. We then went to the post office and store. And hit the park on the way back. Very nice town and friendly people. Its too rough and long of walk to go from our place. I started out walking up, but turned around and came back and got he car and park and walked.

Teething?
Bree still has no sign of teeth. But I think they are on their way out. She has been especially clingy to me, biting toys, her fingers, blankie, and me. Drooling alot! And at night seems to be her worse time being whiney and crying. The past 2 nights I have just given her some Tylenol and rocked her and swaddled her until she fell asleep.
Rainy day
It started raining early this morning, and hasnt stopped since. We slept in till almost 9am :) Bree is working on her 2nd nap of the day! I am still in my jammies at 1230pm! I have just been emptying more boxes and organizing. Its starting to look more like a functional home in here. And even though I threw out alot before we moved, I find myself tossing more stuff now. Why do we accumulate so much crap?!? Chris is especially bad, clinging onto every last thing. The basement and garage are his domains, the rest of the house is mine. I hope it clears up so we can do something outside of the house today. I have an itch to hit Walmart and the dollar store. Mainly just to get out and walk around and look at stuff. God knows I cant afford to buy anything! I still havent figured out a Halloween costume for Breeanna yet. Ready to wear costumes are so expensive, especially if she will only wear it once! I think I will make her up something. She may be a Princess... or fairy...

Fairy Princess
I just love, love LOVE the dollar store. Today I got Breeanna a tutu, wings, tiara, and wand. I will just have her wear whatever in pink to be warm and accessorize with all that stuff. What a cheap and creative Halloween costume. I cant wait! And I got her a pumpkin treat pail to do her trick or treating :) So $5 and she's set!
Stand and play
I found Breeanna a brand new Leapfrog musical table at Walmart. Ive been looking for one online and have had no luck. I had a couple small things in the cart to save for her birthday or Christmas. And on my way to the checkout there was a whole stack of the tables, for just $30. I couldnt refuse, so I put the other stuff back and got her that. She loves to stand now and loves anything that makes noise. I cant wait till she wakes up from her nap to get to play with it. Spoiled, much?!

New kitty?Geez... Chris thinks our cat Lil Boy needs a kitten to keep him company. He is the only pet we have, well we have a bird, but he doesnt do much. Ever since our dog Max passed away, Lil Boy has been a suck. He follows us around everywhere, cuddles with us, sleeps in the bed at night. Its really quite annoying... We are holding off getting a puppy until Spring. I just think it will be too hard to train, now that winter is coming. So we are going to go check out some kittens this afternoon, it doesnt mean were getting one though... but Im sure we will.
Well...
Well, we have a new addition to our family. I went to check out some kittens, and came home with one. His name is Zee, and he is grey and beautiful! He isnt keeping the name though... were brainstorming a new one. Lil Boy was picking on him for a few hours. Now he has been sleeping under the couch all night. He came around a few times to give me a nudge. So I think he will be a friendly little guy.

New playgroup
Tomorrow, Breeanna and I have our first play group at the library. It will be fun to meet other moms and babies in my community. Then on Thursday they have a Halloween party. I better get to work on putting her costume together. I am gonna sew the tutu to her pants, cuz god knows she wouldnt keep it on! As well as attach the wings to a shirt somehow.

Playtime...
Well, the new baby group I attended, was interesting... I got there about 945am, it was to start at 930am. No one else was there. So Bree and I sat on the floor and played till alomst 1030am! The leader came out and talked to me and gave me some useful info. Then about 5 moms and babies came eventually. A couple of them seemed not as friendly and somewhat stuck up. Not to be rude, but does it have to be with them being from the city? I got along really well with another girl named Erica, and a girl named Magda. Although she was very hard to understand with her accent. We just talked about plans for Halloween, and Christmas. Talked about books and toys. Then did some singing and exercises with the babies. Breeanna fell asleep before 1130am came around. Woohoo, tons of fun for her, NOT! I guess I just miss the group of girls from where I lived before and I am maybe comparing them to these new ladies. Ugh... Some things I miss! So we will go Thursday for the Halloween party. There will be more kids at it.

Better group
Today Bree and I went to a different playgroup, and had much more fun! There were more kids and they ranged in age from 6 months to about 4 years. They had different stations set up- play dough, painting, baby area. There was a playtable with cut up bits of paper and foam bats and pumpkins, Bree loved playing in it! She painted a pumpkin, with my help of course. They then had circle time where we sang songs, that I actually knew! And the leader read a story. They then knocked a paper mache pumpkin around and each kid got a treat and some stickers. How cool?! And most of the kids were dressed up which was cute. I just put Bree in her Tigger outfit, as I figured she wouldnt keep her Princess costume on. We had fun, and thats what matters.
Had a scare!
Im not sure what happened to Breeanna tonight... She woke from a nap after supper. I was making cookies, so I gave her a snack in her high chair, and she watched me work away. I had noticed her eye looked a bit red, but she didnt seem bothered by it, so I didnt think anything of it. She was hyper and wiggling around alot. So I rigged up her jolly jumper in the hall and put her in it. Then I noticed her cheek had broke out in a rash, under her eye. Within the next half hour, it broke out on her forehead and temple. I wiped her face down and couldnt see anything in her eye, any bites, or scratches. I was somewhat panicking, I didnt know what to do! Anyways... her temp was normal, and she didnt seem bothered by it. I called my mom and a friend for advice. They both said it must have just been a reaction to something. If it stayed the same or got worse, to take her to the hospital. Well in the time she had her bottle and wound down to sleep, it had gone away. I gave her Tylenol, and held a cool washcloth on it.
